60 Seconds to better health…a message from Kaiser Permanente
You already know that exercise is good for you, right? And that getting and staying fit decreases your risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, and diabetes – plus it increases your energy.
Walking is a one of the best ways to get fit—you get great cardiovascular benefits with minimal strain on your body. In fact, any moderate exercise for 30 to 60 minutes a day, five days a week, is enough to improve your fitness.
Choosing varied activities that you enjoy makes it easier to stick to an exercise program. When you find yourself feeling unmotivated or getting bored with your routine, mix things up. Try a new activity, find a fitness partner, or set a new goal.
Simply put, you’ll look better, feel better, and increase your chances for a longer, healthier life!
