KSCF's Pet Vet Questions (Official Rules)
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. HOW TO ENTER
a. KSCF’s Pet Vet Questions (the “Contest”) will begin on April 16, 2009 at 12:01 am Pacific Time (“PT”) and end on September 17, 2009 at approximately 4:00 pm PT.
b. To participate in the Contest, you may enter via the following method(s): Log on to the KSCF (the “Station”) website, http://www.radiosophie.com beginning on 4/16/2000 at 12:01 am PT, go to http://www.radiosophie.com/pages/639738.php and complete an online entry form including your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number, date of birth, and a valid email address in the online entry form. The entrant will also have to submit a pet question answered by Eastlake Village Veterinary Clinic's Dr. Ginny Bischel for Dr. Bischel. Question entries may not exceed one-hundred (100) words. Questions will not be used to determine the winners of the Contest.
c. Only one (1) Internet entry per person and one (1) Internet entry per email address is permitted. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address. All entries submitted become the sole property of the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned. For purposes of these Official Contest Rules, “receipt” of an online entry will solely be determined when the www.radiosiohie.com web server records the entry information. Any automated computer receipt (such as one confirming delivery of email) does not constitute actual receipt of an entry form for the purposes of these Official Contest Rules. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. The Station’s computer is the official timekeeping device for this Contest. All entries must be received by 4:00pm PT on 9/17/2009.
d. The Station is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. Entries received after 4:00 pm PT on 9/17/2009 will not be eligible.
e. Each Entry must be the original and creative work of the contestant and must not contain copyrighted materials or any other materials that may be restricted, prohibited or outlawed by federal, state, or local laws. WBAV has the absolute discretion to disqualify any Entry based on its sole judgment. WBAV, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any entry if such Entry contains illegal, indecent or otherwise offensive material, or if such entry contains material whose content is deemed at the sole discretion of the station to be unsuitable for the public (i.e. entries must be radio clean), of the Entry disparages or potentially defames any person or entity. Entries that do not comply with these rules will not be eligible for the Contest.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The Contest is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and reside in San Diego County in the state of California. Employees of the Station, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the San Diego metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
b. Listeners may win a prize in a Station-conducted contest only once every thirty (30) days and a prize valued at $1000 or more only once every six (6) months. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station contest.
c. Winner must provide valid government-issued photo identification and sign required release form(s) to claim prize.
d. Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. PRIZES
a. Up to twelve (12) prizes will be awarded. Each prize is a six (6) month supply of canine/ feline Advantage Flea Control. Approximate Retail Value of each prize = $70.00.
b. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below. Winners will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed by September 30, 2009 at 5:30pm PT. Under no circumstances will the station mail out any prize/prizes.
c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for Prizes, except that Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute Prizes of comparable value or cash. The Prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Contest are final.
b. Up to twelve (12) prize winners will be selected. Two (2) winners will be picked each month up to September 17, 2009 at approximately 4:00pm PT in a random drawing of all eligible entries received.
c. All winners will be notified via telephone twice a month on Thursday’s up to September 17, 2009. If a potential prize winner cannot be contacted within two (2) business days of notification attempt then potential prize winner forfeits prize and an alternate winner will NOT be selected.
d. The odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received. The odds of a prize winner winning the prize are 1 in 12.
e. Listeners do not have to be present or listen to win.
f. Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form by September 30, 2009 at 5:30pm PT or prize will be forfeited. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize.
5. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.
b. By participating in the Contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require Contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Contest.
d. The Station, in is sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Station’s Web Site or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
e. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
f. Failure to comply with the Contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.
g. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
h. Copies of the written Contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studios of KSCF located at 8033 Linda Vista Road, San Diego, CA 92111.
6. INTERNET SWEEPSTAKES PRIVACY POLICY
